Information on
Chemical Sensitivities
& Allergies
This Website and Blog are dedicated to providing information on Chemical Sensitivities and Allergies
I joined the ranks of the chemically sensitive the summer of 2018. I found it challenging to find the information I needed, beyond the sheet of information handed to me by the dermatologist. What I am committed to provide here:
- What it’s like to live with a chemical sensitivity or allergy
- Resources for information on various chemicals
- Books for a deeper dive into information (See list at bottom of this page)
- Tactics I have tried or read about
- A place where you can realize you are not alone
When/if corrections to the information I have posted are made, those changes will be indicated, along with where the correction came from, and the date of the change.
I will do my best to add humor along the way. I often don’t have to go any farther than myself for great comedic material.

Hello! I’m Nancy, an Itchy Woman
Artist, author, entrepreneur, thiuram mix conqueror, kyaking badass
I’m Nancy Scheibe the wearer of many hats, I am known as an artist, author, entrepreneur and now – Itchy Woman. I started the Answer The Itch web sight and blog after four months of a debilitating rash that left me nearly housebound. I was diagnosed with chemical sensitivities to Thiuram Mix, Thimerosal, Gold, and Paraben, Ibuprofen, Penicillin and Bee Venom. After the shock of this diagnosis settled, a refusal to live a limiting lifestyle got my creative mind fired up. I became determined to dig under the surface for answers to the chemical sensitiveness that altered the course of my life. I dedicate this site to my kindred itchy family out there seeking answers. You know who you are.
